  1. Its not this current administration: THAT is the biggest lie they convince you of. The plans of those who really rule America will go forward either way, with a slightly different flavor under Republicans or Democrats, and every 4 years you get the illusion of “choice” after everyone is nicely distracted and all riled up over gay marriage & abortion. It’s THE SYSTEM that is fucked, and under it you’ll never get “that one guy who actually makes a difference”; he couldn’t even if he wanted to.

  2. The US has committed greater evils only due to greater resources; as far as being evil, they are definitely A LOT “better than their enemies”. The Islamist Jihadists still live in a primitive dark-ages mindset where specifically and solely targeting innocent civilians is the same as military because “America did [such-and-such] to us, so we kill Americans”. They still want to massacre hundreds of millions of innocents just for sharing a racial, national, or religious affiliation with their enemy

  3. THANK YOU for finding/posting that; you just saved me a lot of digging. It baffles me too, but constitutions are circumvented everywhere these days, with treaties and new laws appallingly taking priority now. A few years ago, a man here Canada, Marc Emergy (head pot-legalization advocate), was extradited to US prison for selling seeds online. How do they do that when our constitutions guarantees “no Canadian citizen shall be forced to leave, or denied entry to, their home country”?

  4. Does the 5th amendment not apply to this? This is absurd. How would the president explain a drone attack that misses the target and blows up a house with a family inside?

  5. Governments just want the OK to nuke anyone who disagrees with them. Call them an “enemy of the state” and then nuke them to oblivion. Power hungry bastards are this current administration.

You can ignore reality but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

  7. @tappedswine sure, the stupid politicians are, but not all of them and the citizens aren’t.

  8. The US is no better than their enemies. They care about power only. Why do they fight imperalist wars? They are certainly not for freedom. They have no right to fight for someone elses oil. Maybe I dont understand all that is going on but it doesnt take a genius to know why way the US is going.

  9. A Reason-Rupe poll found that 57 percent of Americans believed it was unconstitutional to launch drone strikes against American citizens suspected of terrorism. Interestingly, Democrats were least likely to hold this view, with just 44 percent saying such actions were unconstitutional. By contrast, 65 percent of Republicans and 64 percent of independents thought it was unconstitutional.”

  10. My friend while I agree with you, the world is changing. Wether for the good or bad is not known yet. I will tell you if we had the knowledge and the chance in 1995. I would have killed Timothy Mcveigh. People like him go ahead drone his ass.

  11. Holder selected a carefully qualified question in order to justify a narrowly tailored answer that reserves an expansive claim of executive power to authorize summary executions by the president. That’s how totalitarians operate.

  12. Gangsters, mafia, kkk, republican supporters (for treason) if the republicans are in office they could drone strike abortion clinics. Where does it end?

  13. We have never been so blatant about depriving us of our due process and Americans have never laid down so easily either. Just because its already been done doesnt make it right. Do we get a trial or not in this country?

  14. The “government” don’t have to deny everything that ends up in a newspaper that is known for printing anything it can to fill paper.

In regards of killing American citizens involved in terrorism, I would think the very notion that they plan to kill many more innocent civilians to be grounds for negating their citizenship entirely. Don’t think of it as taking a citizens life, think of it as saving many more lives. There is a fine line to be walked I agree, but lets not kid ourselves here.

  15. The Government are free do deny the New York Times report but the Government have never denied it.
Quoting Department of Justice White Paper. pdf link below.
A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be senior operational leaders of al-Qaida or an associated force, even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.
